George Triantis, JSD ’89, the Charles J. Meyers Professor of Law and Business, was named faculty director of the Stanford Cyber Initiative, a campus-wide, multi-disciplinary program to inform policy debates concerning cybersecurity and related privacy risks, as well as the longer-term effects of the integration of cyber-technologies in society and our ways of life.  Launched in November 2014, the initiative is funded by a $15 million grant from The Hewlett Foundation.

An expert in the fields of contracts, commercial law, business law, and bankruptcy, Triantis was one of the founders of the growing scholarly field of contract design.

Triantis is also the associate dean for strategic planning at the law school and the associate dean of research for Stanford University.
