Morantz Granted Tenure

Stanford Law School granted tenure and full professorship to Alison D. Morantz, John A. Wilson Distinguished Faculty Scholar. Previously an associate professor, Morantz is now a professor of law. She is also co-director and principal investigator of the Gould Alternative Dispute Resolution Research Initiative in the Martin Daniel Gould Center for Conflict Resolution. An emerging voice in legal and policy reform, Morantz has focused her research on the impact of occupational safety and health laws, the law and economics of workplace regulation, the comparative effectiveness of state and federal enforcement, and legal history. Before joining the Stanford Law faculty in 2004, Morantz was an associate at Pyle, Rome, Lichten & Ehrenberg P.C., working as a union-side labor lawyer and antidiscrimination advocate. She also clerked for Judge Patti B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
